Confirm Your Pregnancy

Cost-free limited obstetric ultrasounds so you can know for sure.

At 7B Care Clinic, we understand that an unplanned pregnancy can feel overwhelming. After seeing that your pregnancy test was positive, your head might be spinning. There are so many thoughts and feelings that rush in all at once that you might be tempted to panic. Before you start to spiral, take a moment to breathe deeply. Instead of panicking, have an ultrasound to confirm that you have a viable pregnancy. We provide free first trimester ultrasounds to women who have had a positive  pregnancy test in our clinic.  It is recommended that the father of the baby join you for the ultrasound.  It is important that he understands "where you are at" in the pregnancy and consequently be prepared to talk with you about pregnancy decisions.

After you have confirmed your pregnancy via a first trimester ultrasound, it is time for you, and the father of the baby, to think more about your options. At this point, you might not have a very clear idea of which option you are going to choose. That’s okay. The important thing to do is collect as much information as you can, so you can feel confident about the decision that you make. If you would like to learn more about your pregnancy options, contact us. We will educate and empower you, and walk with you as you make your decision.

Do I Need an Ultrasound?

A home pregnancy test is an indicator of pregnancy but it is not a confirmation. An obstetric ultrasound can help determine:

  • the approximate age of your pregnancy

  • if the pregnancy is viable

  • if there is a potentially life-threatening ectopic (tubal) pregnancy

  • abortion methods by trimester

  • if your pregnancy is developing under normal conditions

  • whether or not you are carrying a single fetus or multiple (depending on gestational age

If you think you may be pregnant and have not had an ultrasound yet, contact us today.

Do You Need an Ultrasound Before an Abortion?

If you have scheduled an abortion or are considering the abortion pill, an ultrasound should be performed prior to a procedure or taking abortion pills. For your health and safety, it's important to rule out an ectopic pregnancy and talk to a nurse about your health history and medications. An ultrasound can also help determine the cost and type of an abortion.

What Do I Need Before My Appointment?

Before an ultrasound can be scheduled, we will provide a pregnancy test at 7B Care Clinic. If the test is positive, we can offer an ultrasound to confirm viability and how far along you are.

We understand the issues facing an unexpected or unsupported pregnancy and are committed to providing you with a warm, safe, and discreet place where you can talk through your options. 7B Care Clinic can answer questions about pregnancy, abortion, parenting, and your health. Contact us to get started today.
